… so a wee Lilaberry update.. although I retired and no longer have a shop, I’ve kept my finger in the pie! I have a little gig on Mayne Island at the Mayne Island Resort & Spa. What started as an opportunity to participate in their first Christmas Market in 2024, evolved into helping decorate the Inn for Christmas. I decorated again this year with the help of my friend Lorie who lives on Mayne an has a delightfully whimsical gift shop of her own. Over the last few months I’ve been sourcing items for the Inn’s tearoom and doing the decorating… I’m having so much fun!!! Janice one of the owners is featured in the current publication of Seaside Magazine.

I’m Mayne Island bound this weekend for the 2nd annual event on Saturday, December 6. Along with 9 other local artisans, I will be offering French and Italian Christmas linens and cushions, holiday decor and Christmas mice! Consider an enjoyable day trip! Catch the Salish Raven ferry at 9:35am (one stop) enjoy breakfast and a relaxing scenic sail. The Inn is 11 minutes from the terminal overlooking beautiful Bennett Bay. Return ferry to Swartz Bay: 4pm sailing (2 stops) or 6:15pm (non stop). Consider dinner at The Montrose Local, it’s a lovely quaint spot and the food is delicious!
