WestCoastersBC is a Victoria, BC based creator of wood and acrylic pieces. We use a laser engraver to add words and images to our pieces.

We use local wood, much of which we "recycle", whether it is wood we find lying on the ground, driftwood, or trees that have seen better days, and we turn it into home decor and gifts. We have many ready made pieces, as well as the ability to personalize them to have any image or word you may want! We are also able to do large orders. One of our favourite projects was creating our centrepieces and

place settings for our wedding. We created a coaster with each persons name and used them as place settings and a take-home gift for each of our guests! It was a huge hit :)

Hey friends! I’ve made the decision to close down orders for the rest of the month of June. Teachers, you get it. I’m entering my busiest month teaching, and am still learning the ropes at my new school. I’m at the ball field 5x+ a week for my kids, and I’ve received a few big orders that will keep me busy. I fear adding more to my plate until I get things under control. I will update and delete this post once I’ve decided to open up. When I think about a relaxing day, it almost always includes a book and crochet (because I am a granny and I love it). I started reading ebooks almost exclusively when my kids were young and I was up all hours of the night nursing and didn’t want a light on. While I still am addicted to my kobo and having 20 books on hold at all times through the library), there really is something special about a book in your hands.
Ok ok. Rambling story. If you made this far, these bookmarks are one of the two new styles I hope to have with me at the market this weekend, and maybe I’ll even get them on the website. Maybe.

I’ve always been an avid reader. I have been known to devour books. I lost that love for a few years, but I’ve prioritized it again, and I obsessively track what I read - a dopamine hit probably 😂
I just love these bookmarks. They bring back the 90’s kid in me, when we would have to write on the card in the front of the book when we took them out from the library. These are perfect for kids to encourage reading, for book clubs to track your year, or for individual reading goals. I’m so happy with them!

I have a few new items for this weekend’s market at Apple Days. One I’m testing are these wipeable nature scavenger hunt boards! The are perfect for the littles when you need to get them outdoors, year round! Just use a dry erase marker 🌷🌲🌊🐝🍃🌱I’ll have two with me, but message me if you think I’ll need more 💚
