Working a 9–5 while building a business means constantly asking myself: what actually needs my attention right now?

There’s always another email to answer, another idea to work on, another task waiting on the list. And when you have limited hours outside your job, trying to do everything only leaves you exhausted.

I’m slowly learning that building a business isn’t about squeezing more into every free hour.

It’s about prioritising.

What needs to be done today?
What can wait?
And what actually moves the business forward?

Some days I get a lot done. Other days, I only manage the one thing that mattered most, and I’m learning to be okay with that.

Because when you’re building something alongside a full-time job, progress doesn’t always look productive. Sometimes, it looks like choosing what not to do.
