Got free tickets to the Harvest Music Festival for last night!

Brought aria! along to catch Young the Giant and The Beaches, and somehow we just kept getting closer and closer to the stage. Started near the back and by the end we were probably only 25 feet from the front.

Well, the Lancer is officially gone. šŸ„²šŸ

Itā€™s been a damn good little car for almost two decades, but instead of heading to the scrapyard, itā€™s off to live a much more exciting second life. šŸ˜‚

I donated it to Racing for heroes, where a group of veterans will be turning it into an Enduro race car for next season at Speedway660.

Pretty damn cool knowing the old girl isnā€™t finished yet ā€” sheā€™s just trading the daily commute for the racetrack. šŸ¤˜

Canā€™t wait to see what they turn it into and watch it hit the track next season! šŸšŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦

šŸ”„ KRANG IS FINISHED! šŸ”„

I think this might officially be my favourite cover Iā€™ve done yet.

This one was a ton of work, but Iā€™m really happy with how all the little details came together especially Krang!

Entire piece burned by hand on a TMNT 300th Issue Special blank cover.

Definitely one of those pieces where I kept stopping, looking at it, and thinking ā€œyeahā€¦ this oneā€™s gonna be hard to beat.ā€

What do you guys think ā€” best one yet?

Daredevil: Born Again

Finished up this Daredevil: Born Again cover. Had a lot of fun with this one ā€” especially building up all the shadows, cross-hatching and detail while keeping that rainy Hellā€™s Kitchen atmosphere.

Swipe through to see the burn come together from the original line work to the finished cover.

Burned entirely by hand on an official Marvel blank comic cover.

From blank cover to one-of-a-kind TMNT #300.

My pyrography recreation of the Eastman & Laird cover, burned entirely by hand. This one definitely tested the patience, but seeing it all come together was worth it.

Another mission complete.

TMNT #300 recreation finished.

My pyrography take on the Eastman and Laird TMNT #300 cover. Lots of detail packed into this one, and definitely a fun piece to add to any TMNT collection.

Hand burned, one of a kind, and mission complete.

Finished up Shredder today using a slightly different burnerā€¦ the sun.

After messing around with the old magnifying glass the other day, I figured Iā€™d put the eclipse to work and see how far I could take an actual piece with it.

Turns out an eclipse-powered Shredder is absolutely a thing.

Definitely slower than plugging in the pyrography burner ā€” and keeping that tiny focal point steady is still a bitch ā€” but thereā€™s something pretty damn cool about burning a piece with nothing but sunlight.

Shredder: solar powered.

Picked up this old magnifying glass at an estate sale this morning and couldnā€™t wait to see if I could wood burn using nothing but the sun.

Turns outā€¦ it actually works! šŸ”„šŸ˜„

Will it replace my pyrography burner? Definitely not. But watching a beam of sunlight turn into a smoking burn line is pretty satisfying.

Keeping that tiny little hot spot exactly where you want it, thoughā€¦ thatā€™s a bitch. šŸ˜‚

Still, it was a fun experiment and a pretty cool way to spend a sunny afternoon. Letā€™s see how this shredder turns out.
