Happy Pride, magical peeps!! 🌈💖

I thought it would be the perfect time to show off one of my new Greek God candles: the one and only Dionysus, in the scent of Strawberries & Champagne.

To be honest, I don't have a lot of experience working with this God myself, but he has quite a colourful story, to say the least. At one time, he even had his own cult of followers who were quite known for some rowdy behaviour 😉. He was also said to drive some people to madness (I always say that some mental health experiences can be awfully close to prophecy anyway).

Dionysus is one of the Gods often associated with fluidity and transcendence of traditional labels. He is neither male nor female, gay nor straight, bi nor pan he is all and none of them at once. His story around gender is incredibly intriguing.

Born as a male, and likely one of Zeus's many bastard sons, Dionysus was destroyed in infancy through Hera's wrath. (We can all agree Hera had every right to be angry, but taking it out on the child is a bit much.) Depending on the version of the myth, he was then reborn through Zeus's thigh or brought forth again through a mortal woman. In some tellings, he was hidden away and raised as a girl before embracing a more expansive and fluid expression of gender in adulthood.

With all that openness, it's no wonder he became a favourite of the repressed, the marginalized, and those who existed outside society's expectations.

For this candle, I've chosen to focus on his abundance archetype with a cornucopia charm, juniper berries, basil, aventurine crystal chips, and a touch of his dreaming and visionary aspect through dark purple amethyst.

I have a few Dionysus candles available and will be dropping them off .

I'm also updating my website and changing a few things around. I'm pretty sure I'll be moving away from Etsy a bit those fees are getting to be a lot.

Shipping candles over the summer can be tricky too. I have to avoid the really hot days, so local pickup tends to work a little better.

Each 9oz candle is made out of soy and coconut wax and has a crackling woodwick. And has a burn time of over 35 hours as long as properly cared for.

This Artemis candle is scented in a clean floral scent of Jasmine and white silk.

First Market of the Season and I'm busy crafting.

This is one of my absolute favorite witchy markets with one of the best vibes and interactive things to do. Bass Witches are absolutely fantastic and the Seven Sisters store is also one of my favorite witchy shops. So many unique and handmade items you absolutely need to check them out too.

Excited to see some of my other fellow creatives and their products and shops this year and do some trading and buying as well.

Definitely come check it out. I know it's a bit of a treck for my Durham peeps but so worth it.

From Root to Bone literally 🦴😅
I’ve been posting about wanting to do more foraging this year. I usually buy owl pellet bones from Quebec, but I really wanted to find my own.

There’s a path by my house that runs through the woods and a graveyard where I walk my dogs. The day I found these was early spring—foggy, quiet, and I was moving slower than usual taking pictures. That’s when I saw what looked like a furry little hairball.

Owl pellets are actually what owls regurgitate—they digest everything except the bones and fur, so they look just like little fur clumps.

I brought them home and cleaned them. I used boiling water, but baking them lightly in the oven is actually a better way to kill bacteria (they can make you sick), I just didn’t want them in my oven.

I was hoping to find some skulls, and I did. I think I damaged a couple using boiling water, so baking is probably the better option.

I bought madder root on a whim from the hedge witch without really knowing what it was. Finding out it’s a natural dye was such a fun surprise.

After cleaning the bones, I knew I wanted to try it. I only used a few to start, but I love how they turned out—that antique red is so nice.

Can’t wait to use them in future witchy crafts.

Black Rabbit Bakery smells like fresh carrot cake, sweet cream, and warm spice.

I’ve been working on these for a little while now and they’re finally ready.
Tarot Curiosity Pouches inspired by different tarot archetypes.

Each one is built around the energy of the card and includes herbs, curios, oils, tools, and a small ritual guide so you can actually work with the card, not just read about it.

The first three in the series are: The Devil, The Moon, and The Sun.
The Devil is for protection, boundaries, and breaking cycles.

The Moon is for dreams, intuition, and the unseen.

This Blood Full Moon Eclipse in Virgo feels intense for a reason.

Eclipses accelerate what has already been building. What has been buried begins to rise. Old patterns surface so they can be seen clearly.

Virgo asks us to look at control. Perfectionism. Where we are holding ourselves or others to standards that are no longer sustainable. With the Sun in Pisces, there is also a call to surrender and trust the unfolding.

The card that came through was Odras.

She chased what had already shifted. She refused to turn back. She exhausted herself trying to reclaim what was no longer moving with her. The Morrígan did not destroy her. She transformed her into a stream.

Rigid pursuit became flow.

This is not energy for forceful manifestation. It is energy for refinement. For grounding. For allowing what needs to surface to rise.

I was able to find the time to put together a newsletter for this month. I really didn’t want to miss sharing something because there is so much happening energetically right now.

And guess what? Only 18 days until the Spring Equinox.

I don’t know about you, but I am ready to emerge from winter’s darkness.

I hope everyone is taking care of themselves. Health truly is wealth, especially this month.
