I am honoured to once again win the Community Votes award in three categories. I received Gold in Fabric, Wool and Yarn as well as Silver in Crafts Stores and Art & Craft Supplies.
Thank you to all my customers who voted for me and who support The Wool Queen. It is an honour to be here to assist with choosing your projects and the yarn to make them truly one of a kind, gorgeous and sometimes fun and playful.

The day has come that I have been waiting for since last October. Camping season is upon us once again.
I will be switching to my summer hours starting Friday May 8, 2026.

I will be open Monday to Thursdays from 10-5.
As always if you are unable to make it during those hours, I will be available by appt. after hours Mondays and Tuesdays.

Our knitting Circle is still active on Wednesday afternoons from 1-3 during the summer. Bring your project. We knit, We crochet, We chat.....mostly chat.

From The Wool Queen family to yours have a Happy Easter.
Bruce is so excited to go Easter egg hunting this weekend. He has got his route all mapped out. He can't wait to see his new Easter outfit.

We will be closed for the Easter Weekend from April 3 until April 5.
We will be open again on Monday April 6 at 10am.

I am sad that Summer is over but happy to say I am returning to my Fall/Winter hours.
I am now open Monday to Friday 10-5 and Saturday 10-3. Closed on Sundays as always.
It is that time of year when we start thinking about our holiday projects. What socks am I going to knit Dad and what shawl should I knit for Mom. Ohhh, wouldn't my Granddaughter love a stuffy.
The shawl in the photo is knit with Juniper Moon Farm Harris and the pattern name is Okapi. The colours used were Rugby, Mate, Cheers and Bristol.
It was fun to knit and I love the way the subtle ribbing goes in a different direction than the stripes.

It has been 3 years since I took a week off for vacation. The weather is hot and I thought with Canada Day being part way thru the week what a perfect time for a vacation.
I will be closed from June 27 and reopening July 7. Wow, that seems like a long time but it is only an extra 3 days.
I hope you are all having a great summer and are taking time to work on your projects. It's never to hot to knit or crochet.

Community Votes Oshawa 2025 results are in and I am proud to say I have won Gold in three categories.
Thank you to everyone who voted for me.
Everyday I come into the store and look forward to helping you choose your next project and the yarn for it. Choosing the colour for the project is sometimes just as much fun and sometimes as challenging as actually knitting or crocheting the project.
When you walk in and show me your finished project it always makes my day.
I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Trailer season is here!

I will be extending my weekends to take advantage of the warm weather, lazy days fishing, kayaking and of course knitting and crocheting.

Summer Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Friday - Sunday: Closed
I will be available by appointment after 5:00 PM Monday - Wednesday
