People often ask me, "How long does it take you to make a stained glass piece?" For this fella it will be almost 4, eight hour workdays.

I am incredibly proud of this commission. It is for a lovely lady who saw yellow throated toucans on a recent trip to the Caribbean. He is such a cheeky little guy made with some pretty amazing glass. I am so in love with his Bullseye eye piece and the Oceanside burgundy on baroque.

The hard part was not the glass cutting but the engineering so he was structurally sound on the driftwood and that the weight was evenly distributed so that the tail and driftwood would not pull away from the body of the bird.

All that is left to do is to apply conservators wax to the entire piece and then buff it out to a shine.

I am so proud of this guy.

Real Estate Hunting at Black Rapids

Rowan and Willow spent the day exploring at Black Rapids Lockstation in Ottawa tring to find a hiding spot for their treasure.

With Game of Shrooms quickly approaching on June 13, the pressure is officially on.

They couldn't quite agree on the perfect place so they inspected every nook and cranny. Swipe through the pics to follow their adventure.

Pack your bags and grab your passport, next week their journey continues outside of Ontario.

Which spot do you think suits them best?

Neile Coopers new book Raise your glass is batty fantastic. These are her patterns. I am in love! The first pic made in Everglades architectural glass, an ode to the six species of bat that frequent the glades and the second in floreal architectural glass. So in love. Thanks for the amazing book.
