The traditional stone, custom mantle and millwork, lime wash, built-in storage, layered lighting, warm-toned paneling, and more, are all thoughtful ways we added character to this home.

Introducing project Celeste! The first phase of this home renovation. Focusing on adding character and functionality to the laundry room and living room.

Starting with the living room, this fireplace wall began as painted drywall begging to be brought to life with millwork, stone, and a statement custom mantle. Purposeful storage was one of our top priorities to store toys, games, books, and TV remotes.

Moving into this small but mighty laundry room, we needed to be strategic with space planning and storage to allow for laundry, mudroom, and a dog washing station all in one. We added a gorgeous apron sink (designed and measured completely around Lola), and added layers of colour, patterns and millwork.

Always a fan of custom drapery 🤎

We chose a ripple-fold black-out curtain for privacy and drama in this ensuite.

Installing on a ceiling track instead of a rod added an extra layer of height and emphasizes the room.

Yesterday, we headed to site to confirm electrical and plumbing locations for our project Bond; a new build model home for Patten Homes in Carp.

At CCDH this week, we’re wrapping up all of the interior design details, connecting with our product reps and getting the plans printed and delivered to our trades on site.

In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek of the kitchen with a look into our coffee bar.

Ended February on a high note with a branding session, thanks to the wonderful Sonia V Photography. Sonia and Rachel captured my vision perfectly, blending the interior design and architectural side of the business.

Our Modern Rekindled project was shown lots of love at the One of One event yesterday by Uncommon Ottawa and awarded for “The One That Got Away”, a project near and dear to my heart, involving multiple structural logistics, completely reworking the kitchen and main living areas for this growing family.

Someday I hope to take these renderings into reality for my deserving clients 🤍

Feeling so proud and honoured to be awarded amongst an insanely talented design community and an incredible panel of judges. What an evening!

A look back at 2025 🤍

From rebranding with Sweeney Curations, to finally stepping into professional photography thanks to Randilynne Creative to being named a GOHBA Award finalist — this year was full of growth, learning, and gratitude.

I’m so thankful for the projects I’ve had the opportunity to work on, the projects still unfolding, and the incredible people I get to collaborate with. I’m excited to share what we’ve been working on in the new year.
