On this day in vintage history: In the late 1940s, Edwin Land’s first Polaroid “Land Camera” went on sale, letting people see their photo in about a minute instead of waiting for film lab magic. Instant gratification long before selfies and filters.
Every Polaroid from the 50s–80s is basically a tiny time capsule.
What’s the earliest photo you have of yourself? Bonus points if it’s a Polaroid.
