Dry sanding with pole & some filling with mud in problem areas 9:20am - 10:20am

Mopping walls, sweeping and vacuuming 10:20am-11:00am

Break 11:00-11:10am

Tarp back down, secured 11:10am-11:30am

Lunch
11:30am-12:10pm

Painting primer 12:10pm-2:00pm

(1:00pm = ½ way done with primer!)

(1:40pm = 48 sq ft to go! Yay!)

Day 16 in Poland - today we'll finish up the wet sanding and mud touch-ups.

We'll also finish masking all the original wood trim.

Our aim today is finish up with a coat of drywall primer.

Day 15 in Poland - after an 8 day delay because of the power outage, we're back in Poland, ON.

Today is all about doing a wet sanding by hand on the walls and ceiling. A wet sanding, done with sponges that have a rough surface, keeps the dust down and also softens the mud layer rather than making it rough (and leaving scratch marks in the mud surface).

As we go, we find nicks and other spots that need another mud layer so we fill those in.

Most times, a final layer of mud is not needed and the small repairs, if done correctly, will not need sanding before painting.

We also started masking all the trim today.

Day 13 in Poland - skim coats are all done on walls and ceiling. Skim coats at this stage essentially "connect the dots"...

Skim coats at this stage essentially "connect the dots" - dots being the edges of corner beads, the edges of the paper tape that covers seams, the blops of mud that cover the screws - and make the surface of the drywall as level as possible.

Aproximately 73 feet of 90⁰ angle corner beads mudded into place. Some taping and mudding of seams and patches.

75 feet of paper tape and some135⁰ corner beads to mud into place tomorrow.
