Toss OR Keep?

Can this STOP/SLOW paddle go back into service?

In Ontario, TC-22 STOP/SLOW paddles must meet the Acceptable condition criteria while in use. A marginally acceptable paddle is not permitted.

If the message is faded, damaged, partly missing, or difficult to read, the paddle may no longer meet the required standard.

For STOP/SLOW paddles, it’s simple: Acceptable or out of service.
In our next post, we’ll break down what “Acceptable” looks like and what to check before putting a traffic control device back into service.

With the Thanksgiving long weekend ahead, we’re wrapping up the week with a big thank you to everyone out there keeping things moving safely.

From early starts to long days in the field, the work our crews do helps keep projects on track and road users moving safely through active work zones.

We appreciate the effort, teamwork and care that goes into every shift. Enjoy the long weekend, and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. 🍂

Did you know that we’ve been around for more than 60 years? 🚧

That’s right! More than six decades of supporting contractors, municipalities, workers, and communities across Ontario with reliable traffic control solutions, and it’s a history we’re proud of.

From traffic control and flagging to traffic plans, equipment, signage, engineering, and Intelligent Transportation Systems, we support projects from planning through final takedown.

With experienced teams across Ottawa, Toronto, Kingston, Sudbury, and beyond, we remain focused on helping keep work zones safe, compliant, and moving efficiently.

Another work zone ready to go. 🚧

Our crew was out in Richmond, Ontario, getting the traffic-control setup in place before work began for a major pipeline project!

From placing A-frame signs to setting up traffic-control equipment, the team helped create a clear and organized work zone so crews could get started safely.

A strong setup makes all the difference, and it’s great to see everything in place before the work begins.

A meaningful recognition for a cause we were proud to support.

We had the opportunity to support The Rolling Barrage during its stop in Kingston by providing traffic control equipment as an in-kind sponsorship.

The Rolling Barrage brings riders and communities together to raise awareness and funds in support of those affected by PTSD, including Veterans, first responders, and others impacted by operational stress injuries.

We were honored to have received a certificate of appreciation and, more importantly, to play a small part in helping the event take place safely.

We’re honored to celebrate Robert Clark, Vice President, Health & Safety, on being named OHS Professional of the Year 2026 by OHS Canada.

Robert’s leadership has directly impacted our team, including guiding us to COR certification in Ontario and continuing to strengthen the safety practices that support our people every day.

Congratulations, Robert, on this well-deserved recognition. We’re proud to have your leadership and commitment to safety supporting our team.

What a meaningful day to be part of. 💜

Last weekend, we had the honor of joining the CHEO Construction Community Cares Parade and helping bring a little extra joy to children and families at CHEO and Roger Neilson Children's Hospice.

The parade was created to bring Ontario’s construction community together in support of children receiving palliative care, with construction vehicles and equipment traveling past the hospital and hospice so families can enjoy the procession from their windows and along the route.

It was our pleasure to sponsor the traffic control for this year’s event and help ensure the parade moved safely from start to finish. As part of this industry and this community, opportunities like this mean a great deal to us. We spend every day helping keep people safe around roadwork and construction, and we’re grateful to use what we do to support a day centered on care, community, and bringing smiles to children and their families.

Thank you to NCHCA and Ottawa Construction Association, and everyone who helped make this special event possible. We were honored to be part of it
