Please note that if you are planning on heading to the shop today that there is a city wide parking ban on. That means that the only parking today around the shop is on Somerset St. (no side street parking) so parking is very limited.

I took this photo years back in the fading light of a cold, crisp January day, much like we had in Ottawa today. Many years have past, but on days like today, when the sun is setting, I still often think of the afternoon I took this photo and how this piece captured the light. There's something so cozy and comforting about the tone of the sunset coming into the room.

It's hard to believe January has already come and gone, and like me, I hope you're feeling a boost already from the longer days and the promise of more daylight to come.

As for the piece, it was painted in in Paris Grey with Louis Blue on the inside. A perfect icy January combo.

Please note that with the overnight and ongoing storm there is a city-wide parking ban on. That means that you are unable to park on any of the streets around the shop (except Somerset) for the entire day today. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Please note that if you are planning on coming to the shop today that there is very little parking available. All of the snow in the area is being removed from the side streets so you are unable to park on area streets (except for Somerset). We are very sorry for the inconvenience but once it is done, parking will be much better (and easier!) :)
