Prefinished flooring sanded down to a proper looking hardwood floor, no bevels, just flat and seamless. This birch floor turned out great and will be so much easier to keep clean without those pesky dust collecting bevels. If you’re considering putting in prefinished flooring, let’s have a chat and I can tell all about proper site finished floors and why they are superior. Beautiful new Birch hardwood floors 😎 I unfortunately could not save the existing 80 year old floor due to how it was installed with hardly any fasteners which caused large gaps and major squeaks. I ripped it all out, added new 1/2” plywood glued and screwed, roll on moisture protection, installed and sanded 3.25” Birch pacific grade and the cherry on top is BaseOil2k custom colour

Moisture retarder. For some it’s overkill, for me it’s standard practice on every installation. This roll on product is going to slow down the transfer of moisture coming up through the subfloor, ultimately keeping the wood moisture level more stable when installing over damp basements, crawl spaces, over garages etc. It suppresses moisture at the surface level, preventing it from equalizing into the plywood, which is crucial for protecting against cupping or crowning. It will also strengthen your plywood substrate, and prevents adhesive absorption for a better bond with your glue. All these amazing properties in a product that is 0 VOC.

Another floor protected for life with penetrating oil. In theory this floor will never have to be sanded down to bare wood ever again, unless some serious damage occurs. Regular maintenance and periodic reoiling every 5+ years will keep this floor looking like new for decades! Bye bye boring plastic coating, hello silky smooth organic feels under your feet. And yes, it’s also very durable!

Updated staircase was on this clients wish list and we delivered 🎁 I had to remove each tread because the previous crew used the wrong adhesive. The adhesive didn’t bond to the wood properly, they came up by hand with very minimal effort. They were also done with polyshade which was so heavily brushed on you could not even tell what species of wood was under it. The railing parts were not the same type of wood either so we changed out the old oak for some new modern profile maple material to match the maple treads. With a little elbow grease this staircase went from old n busted to new hotness 😎
