Sunday the shop and we’re doing our plant care rounds. Of course we had to stop and appreciate the beauty of these Syngonium Albo Variegata 😍 These vining aroids are loved for their gorgeous white variegation and fast growing nature! Give them a trellis or pole to climb up and the foliage can grow to be massive spade shaped beauties worthy of worship ✨

Sometimes the only thing keeping you sane is the perfect candle ✨ We are all big fans of 503 cups from here, and almost always have one as the shop candle going ☕️ A delicious, coffee scented dream to keep the energy high and the vibes just right! But no matter what you have going on the right candle can really set the mood!

It’s clear that we are big fan of bugs around here! While we understand the bug life may not be for everyone, I think we can all agree that Rubber Ducky Isopods are comically cute! These darling little roly poly are the insect that can really make anyone admit that some bugs can be adorable 🥹

Isopods in general are a great clean up crew insect for terrariums and vivariums, helping to break down leaf litter and such. They are a beneficial little critter that we think are a big of a gateway bug to the world of isopods!

One of our lovely regulars at the shop recently had a move across country and gifted these two beautiful mounted staghorn ferns to Maddy and myself (Lexie), since they couldn’t be brought on the move. It was so lovely to not only get to see how nicely plants from our shop have done in her care, but also to be thought of and trusted to continue to their growth in her stead 🌿✨

Often, when we get staghorn ferns in, they are potted in soil and much smaller, so it’s easy to forget just how epic they can be! These two in particular are settling in nicely to their new environments, and they have really reignited an appreciation and love for these ferns. We do have some currently available at the shop if you want to try mounting your own and getting in on the fun!

Our shipment this week was full of plants with some great variegation! We got in lots of more uncommon variegated beauties and while we appreciate fully green plants just as much, we think having both is a great way to break up the colour palette of your plant collection 🌿

Gleefully discovered that my Hoya Michelle Splash had a huge bloom open up! It is the first time this Hoya has bloomed for me. Of course I had the entire household stop what they were doing to come admire and sniff this gorgeous new flower ☺️✨ I’m bad at describing scents but I’d say it smells like a sweet floral honey 🍯

We’re open today 10-6, with all hands on deck for a massive shipment of pots from .design ! The whole team will be hustling hard to try and cram it all into our little shop, but where there’s a will there is a way 💪

It has been such a gorgeous long weekend ✨ We’re always so grateful when the weather cooperates with our dreamy visions of a weekend plant therapy oasis for the shop 🌿 We’ve loved and appreciated all the foot traffic that arrives in little Italy for the tulip festival! It’s wonderful to have our neighbourhood so bustling and meet all kinds of new folks who have never been to the shop before 💚 We hope to see you later today!

Reminder that tomorrow, Monday the 18th, the shop will be CLOSED so today’s the day to restock for your plant project!

Spring is finally feeling like it’s in full force! Queenie here likes to spend her time sitting on the balcony, bird watching when the warmer weather come around 😸🦃✨

We’re loving the Spring vibes as well at the shop! Tulip festival is in full swing, the shop is jam packed full of plants and the doors are swung open to let the fresh air in 🌷🌼 Our patio plants are sitting in the sunshine and happy to feel the breeze! Come on by after your stroll through the tulips and maybe pick up a new plant friend while you’re at it 🪴

What a great weekend!!! 🌸😭🌷💚 We have so much to be thankful for and first and foremost our lovely customers! Thank you for keeping us going and giving us a reason to keep hustling hard every day! The weather and sun smiled upon the tulip festival and it was a great time on Preston st!

I couldn’t have done our Mother’s Day traditions without local flowers (we have a few incredible tulips left if anyone is looking for ganden glory to grace their vases!! And .papaya thank you again for another super fun, cute and happy ceramics collab!

We’re open at the shop today until 5pm and the shop is full and fresh!
