Where Culinary Art Meets Thoughtful Design

At Viali Design, we believe that the most memorable experiences are created through thoughtful details, creativity, and an appreciation for artistry.

It was an absolute pleasure welcoming .privatechef for an exceptional private dining experience.

Every dish was as visually captivating as it was delicious. From the delicate presentation to the carefully considered flavours, each course reflected an extraordinary level of skill, passion, and attention to detail.

As designers, we especially appreciate the artistry behind creating an experience that engages all the senses. Much like a thoughtfully designed space, a beautifully prepared meal has the power to bring people together and create lasting memories.

Thank you, Chef Lovro, for sharing your talent and making the occasion so special.

As the seasons change and we begin spending more time indoors, there is a natural desire to make our homes feel warmer and more inviting.

But creating a cozy home does not mean filling it with more things.

Often, warmth comes from choosing the right elements and giving each one room to be appreciated. Natural wood tones, soft textiles, layered lighting, comfortable seating, meaningful artwork, and a few thoughtfully selected accessories can completely transform the feeling of a space.

Texture is especially powerful. A woven rug, a soft throw, linen or velvet cushions, natural stone, and the warmth of wood can add depth without adding visual clutter. Lighting matters too. Combining natural light with lamps, accent lighting, and the glow of a fireplace creates an atmosphere that feels welcoming throughout the day.

The goal is not to fill a room.

It is to create a space that feels warm, comfortable, intentional, and effortless to live in.

At Viali Design, we believe thoughtful spaces should support the way you live while still feeling distinctly yours.

As fall begins, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the summer season and consider what worked well, what could be improved, and how we can create even more welcoming experiences for next year.

For summer camps, thoughtful design and accessibility can make a meaningful difference in ensuring every child has the opportunity to participate, connect, and enjoy their experience.

Our latest blog explores some of the barriers that can easily be overlooked, from pathways and gathering spaces to cabins, washrooms, waterfront access, and the overall camp environment.

Now is an ideal time for camps to identify areas for improvement and begin planning ahead for summer 2027.

Viali Design also offers accessibility studies for non-profit camps looking to better understand their spaces and explore practical opportunities for improvement.

Please join us in welcoming Layan to the Viali team.

Layan joins us as an Architectural Designer, bringing a thoughtful perspective shaped by her background in Architecture and a major in Design from Carleton University.

Her architectural training gives her a strong understanding of how proportion, circulation, light, material, and the way people experience a space all work together. With a passion for material exploration and visual storytelling, Layan approaches each project with curiosity, intention, and a strong appreciation for the relationship between people and place.

Currently pursuing her Master of Design and a LEED Green Associate, Layan continues to explore the intersection of people, design, technology, and environmental responsibility.

We are delighted to welcome Layan to Viali and look forward to the creativity, technical knowledge, and fresh perspective she brings to our studio.

Welcome to the team, Layan!

As the seasons begin to change, our homes naturally become places of warmth, comfort, and connection.

Fall invites us to embrace richer textures, warmer tones, layered lighting, and the little details that make a space feel welcoming.

A thoughtfully designed home doesn’t simply reflect the season. It creates an atmosphere that makes you want to slow down, settle in, and enjoy it.

Welcome the season beautifully.

The same room can feel completely different simply by changing the lighting.

Lighting shapes mood.

It highlights architecture.

It improves safety.

It influences productivity.

It affects how colours appear throughout the day.

Lighting should never be treated as an afterthought.

It's one of the most powerful tools in interior design.
