Via Organizing

Via Organizing An Organizational Specialist and Interior Decorator offering decluttering, organizing and one day decorating! Hi, I’m Samantha, owner of Via Organizing.

I’m a Certified Professional Organizer, interior decorating graduate, redesign specialist, farm wife, mom, carpenter’s daughter, and avid personal growth seeker. I understand firsthand that real life (especially farm life) doesn’t run on perfect schedules or Pinterest perfect systems. Between unpredictable seasons, busy households, shifting priorities, and everyday responsibilities, it’s easy for

life and our homes to start feeling overwhelming. My work focuses on helping busy women (like farm moms) create more functional homes, clearer priorities, and systems that actually work in real life. Not perfection. Not rigid schedules. Not systems that fall apart the moment life gets busy. Instead, I help women build clarity, stability, and practical routines that reduce overwhelm and make everyday life easier to manage. Through Via Organizing, I offer both in-person organizing services and online resources, along with practical tools designed to help women move from feeling reactive and overwhelmed to living more intentionally. If you're looking for a simple place to start, you can access my free resource here:

This guide is a simple way to adjust your mindset right away and begin thinking differently about how your home and life function. I also host a free online community for women and farm moms called The Functional Farm Mom, where we focus on building clarity, practical systems, and a more functional life step by step. Inside the community you’ll also find my workbook:

The Path Forward: To the Functional Farm Mom

This structured reflection workbook helps women move from awareness → ownership → intentional design → sustainable action so they can begin creating a life that actually works for them. You can explore the community here:

For women who want additional structure moving forward, I also created the Via Life Planner. It's a flexible yearly, monthly, and weekly planning system designed for real life, not perfection. Because building a functional home and life isn’t about doing everything perfectly. It’s about creating systems that help you move forward even in busy seasons. If you're ready to start simplifying life and building something that works better for you and your family, start here:

Things I Notice First When I Walk Into a Cluttered Home — Part 1

Clutter tells a story.

As a professional organizer, I'm not walking into your home judging you.

I'm looking for patterns.

Where is clutter collecting?
What keeps getting left out?
Where do people naturally drop their things?

Because those answers can tell me whether:
• something doesn't have a home
• the system isn't easy enough to maintain
• the home isn't supporting natural habits
• or the family has simply outgrown the system

A functional home doesn't force you to act like a completely different person.

The system should work with the people living there.

Function over perfection. Every time.

Fore warning, I swear in this one 😅

Being the Project Manager Friend Is Exhausting

I love being helpful.

I really do.

I love brainstorming.

I love assisting.

I love helping make something happen.

But being the person responsible for the plan and the ex*****on every single time?

Absolutely exhausting.

Especially when you're already the project manager for half your life. 😂

The invisible work isn't always physically doing something.

Sometimes it's:

Thinking about it.

Coming up with the options.

Making the decisions.

Communicating the plan.

Remembering what everyone said.

Figuring out what happens next.

And making sure the damn thing actually happens.

So if you have a friend who's always “the organized one”...

Maybe ask:

"What can I bring?"

Or:

"Do you want to brainstorm together?"

Don't automatically hand her the clipboard. 😂

Function over perfection. Every time.

Sometimes You Just Need To "Yeet" Your Kids Toys Downstairs…

Are you ready for your kid(s) to go to school? Getting ready isn't a task, it's a project!

I love looking at generations through the lens of understanding instead of blame.
Because every generation had strengths.
Every generation had challenges.
Every generation was responding to the world around them.
The goal isn't to reject where we came from.
It's to become intentional about what we bring forward.
What is something beautiful you learned from the women before you?
Remember, function over perfection. Every time.

Perfection is beautiful from a distance.
Function changes lives.
That's why this page isn't about having the prettiest pantry.
It's about helping overwhelmed moms create lives that actually work.

One of the biggest things I've learned is that our homes aren't just physical spaces.
They hold our expectations.
Our habits.
Our beliefs.
Our stories.
And sometimes the reason something feels so hard isn't because we're incapable...
it's because we're trying to meet expectations we inherited without questioning.
This isn't about blaming our parents.
Most of them were doing the best they could with what they knew.
This is about giving ourselves permission to choose intentionally.
What do I want to keep?
What do I want to change?
What do I want my kids to learn from me?
That's where growth starts.
Remember, function over perfection. Every time.
