My reputation and my word are two of the most important things in my life (If you don't count my wife).

If I have messed up, I will always take responsibility for it, no matter how small or large. Bring on those consequences!

Case in point.

A few days ago I had an electric mower dropped off for sharpening.
Got it done, and picked up.

A couple days later I get a call from the same gentleman saying that when he went to use the mower for the first time, and the self propelled function was not working. The toggle was loose and would not engage. It was definitely not loose when I received it, as I thoroughly check it over when I get them.

Once he brought it back, and I had a look at it and came to the conclusion that a small piece that toggles the self propelled function a snapped in half and a critical locking piece was missing. I don't know where or how this happened, But its a quick and easy swap once I get the part I need.

OR

This is something I could easily replicate with a 3d printer. Which I don't have yet. (It's on my next Christmas list, Santa!)

In the mean time I looked to my ancestors for the answer. I used the ancient technology of woodworking to create a shim that fit into the slot of the missing plastic.

I will test it tomorrow once I have access to the battery.

Just like the rest of the world, I was all wrapped up in this AI delusion thinking that it would be nothing but a benefit to humanity and society. I used it a lot, both in personal and professional setting.

But I am seeing it's true impact on the earth, and I am appalled that I was a proponent of it.

The images I already have up, I am not going to delete because doing so accomplishes nothing. ...and I like them. which makes it harder to turn my back on something I once thought to be good.

But as of this moment, I pledge to limit my use of AI to only those times where there is no other option. And even then, I will push back against it as much as I can. I WILL write in my own words. I will hire HUMANS to create the art for my page.

No more data centers.

So I have an odd, large expense coming up, so I promise I won't complain if you flood me with work over the next few weeks! Hit me with everything you got! Tell all your friends, neighbors and coworkers. Sharp knives. Coal black cast iron. I can do a lot of weird things to like roof cleaning, oven cleaning, b**g and pipe deep cleans too. Weird stuff, normal stuff. Lets get to work!
