Welcome to the second bedroom of our Georgian Bay Kids Cabin Mini Series✨

With beautiful views out to the water, we wanted to make the most of the natural light while giving the room the same nostalgic, collected character as the rest of the cabin. One of our favourite additions is the pair of leaded glass windows we sourced secondhand.

Introducing our Straw Bale Cottage!🌾

Designed around one ambitious goal: creating a home with a net-negative carbon footprint.

At the heart of the build are prefabricated, high-performance straw panels. Rather than simply reducing emissions, the building itself actively sequesters carbon within its walls.

That philosophy extends throughout the interiors. Through a thoughtful deconstruction process, materials from the existing property are being reclaimed, salvaged, and reimagined alongside carefully considered, sustainably built new materials.

The result will be a pared-back, purposeful cottage that celebrates resourcefulness, craftsmanship and the beauty of using what already exists.

These photos capture just a few stages of the building process so far. We can’t wait to share more as this very special project comes together.
