Join Us for an Open Sew Day!

Want to have some fun, spend time with fellow quilters, and give back to our communities?

Join us for our Open Sew Day on Saturday, August 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Drop in anytime during the day and help us sew blocks for Quilts of Valour™ and Heart blocks for a BC quilt guild community project.

All materials will be provided, and sewing machines will be set up in the classroom, so you can simply stop in and sew a block or two. There's no need to bring anything—just yourself!

About the projects:
A Quilt of Valour™ is "a hug from a grateful nation" and a tribute to an injured Canadian Armed Forces member, past or present. Every block you help create contributes to a quilt that offers comfort, appreciation, and recognition for their service.
We'll also be making heart blocks for a quilt guild in British Columbia. The guild will display the blocks at their quilt show before turning them into quilts that will be donated to charities, spreading hugs and kindness from quilters across Canada.

Quilting with friends is good for the soul! It's a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with like-minded people, share skills and ideas, enjoy a creative and inspiring atmosphere, and make a meaningful difference—one stitch at a time.

Whether you can stay for the whole afternoon or just pop in to sew a block or two, we'd love to have you join us!
