Happy Friday everyone!!!

A lot has changed in my life since Covid. I went back to school and trained to be a dental assistant. I am still passionate about sewing, knitting and crochet and making custom creations and doing minor alterations. It has been a crazy two years but things are finally starting to settle down and I can open again to take orders and set up appointments for alterations. I have updated my hours to Monday and Fridays by appointment.

A vlogger I follow said using a towel to dry your hair isnt very good for it. It dries you hair out to much apparently. So I’m testing out some cotton knit hair wraps

Schools are reopening, amusement parks are welcoming back visitors, and outdoor dining is the new way to eat out. But despite the signs that life is returning back to normal, the coronavirus pandemic has gone nowhere.

Cotton or knit blend masks how do you decide?

Cotton is like you basic bed sheets and knit is like a t-shirt. To help decide what you like better take a bed sheet and fold it so there’s two layers hold it against your face and breathe for a few minutes. Do the same with a t-shirt. Which one was more comfortable?

For my boys for school I am making them knit blend masks they personally like the fight and comfort the Best. But everyone is different.

My birthday boy testing out the kids size masks. He’s 7 today 🎂. This mask is made with knit fabric which is t-shirt material. To provide some stretch and breathe ability. T-shirt ties for added ear comfort for long wearing.

With the announcement of school resuming in September I have had a lot of requests for kid masks. I am working on them. It takes a few test runs and tweaking to get what I consider the best mask. With out little ones wearing them I want to make sure they are comfortable to long term wear and durable.

I’ve also had requested for licensed fabric. Licensed fabric is fabric that have characters from tv shows, movies and books. Or it can be sports teams. Problem with licensed fabric is it costs generally twice the price of regular fabric and is for personal use only, meaning I can’t make something a sell it. So unfortunately I won’t be selling licensed fabric masks.
