Heres a piece ive been chewing away at while im working away from home. Not really sure where im going with it, just been going with the flow on this one and letting it paint itself. Its a reflectionof my time spent on the westcoast of vancouver island, heavily inspired by the dead old grothwr trees and stumps that still glow with life.

A little progress i made on one of these matching plywood pieces. Im starting to drift towards my sketchbook style that ive been holding off on for a long long time, I dont think my understanding of painting techniques were quite ready for them until recently. But! im glad i held off because i also started to dial in alot of my drawing skills which has helped incredibly. So yea i think its about to get wild here. Enjoy the weekend everyone

Been slowly chipping at this somewhat mirrored pair of paintings, i figured if i already have my colors mixed up might as well get twice the production out of them. I have some interesting plans for these two, aslong as they go as planned “which they never do” they should raise some eyebrows 🤷🏼‍♂️

I was going to add more to this one but after a while of staring at it on the wall ive become attracted to the simplicity of it not being overcrowded. This one was inspired from my time exploring around uclulete, ive become drawn to all the old dead trees and stumps that have come crawling back to life with vegetation and fungus. That place has been a huge inspiration for me and it shows throughout my sketches this past year and im excited to finally start putting some these ideas together to share with you all.
