With my current focus on carving small figures, I have one knife that works well but I hated the tiny curved handle that came with it. I decided to "borrow" one of my Jack Daniel's pen blanks and convert it into a knife handle that I would actually enjoy using. Here are the results.

Wood is like a box of chocolates...

I was hoping for more sparkle from this blue acrylic/dyed burl hybrid, but most of the color went away as it was turned. It's still a nice Gatsby pen in gold.
