I got asked to make a family of foxes ornament by a friend for when their baby arrived. Let me tell you all the emotions ran through my head. I was so honoured/excited she picked me to make this piece but also so nervous if I could get it right. Well she loves it. Congrats again on the new bundle of joy.

I haven’t posted in a long time. Everyone’s life has seemed to “calmed” down over the last year and ours just speeded up, so much so I think we’ve only been home maybe 4 months this year.

I haven’t been crafting as much as I’d like to be so I’ve decided to take this Christmas off and just do crafts for my family.

I’ll be posting what I have in stock and prices in the next couple of weeks. I’m hoping I can get back to full crafting next year and have more to offer. Till next year, stay safe everyone.

I had so much fun making these earrings and love how they turned out. Katriona won’t let me wear them as they are “hers” 🤷🏻‍♀️ one day they will be.

I was surprised once I got the hang of beading how relaxing and fun it was. I won’t be making any to have on hand to sell at this time, but I’m open for orders if you’d like a pair. Does not need to be the medicine wheel, could be any colours you’d like.

While doing these I learnt some very interesting facts about the medicine wheel and thought I’d share some...
🌻 Medicine wheels are round because it revolves endlessly
🌻 The four directions of the medicine wheel are East (Spiritual), South (Emotional), West (Physical) and North (Mental)
🌻The black part of a medicine wheel can change depending on which indigenous group you are. (Blue replaces the black for Cree)

So I’m trying my hand at something new, beading. Our local library had these kits out for medicine wheel earrings, that my daughter wants me to make for her (her ears aren’t pierced 🤷🏻‍♀️) If it goes well maybe it’ll be something I’ll add this year. Wish me luck!

With so many new followers I thought I’d reintroduced myself and my page.

My name is Michelle, I’m a Forest Tech/GIS Tech by trade but now a full time stay at home mom, to a beautiful, adventurous 2 year old daughter. My husband and I bought an acreage 3 years ago in between Weyburn and Radville Saskatchewan, which keeps life interesting and busy.

In my spare time I like to read, cook, garden, photography and craft (that’s what started this all) My husband suggested that I show off my work and here we are 2 years later and a lot less time to do what I love.

Everything is hand crafted by me and “re-purposed” materials. All cookies are made out of my parents and our Christmas trees from years before. Drier balls or as my daughter calls them snowballs are all “reclaimed” sheep wool (which I’m out of, last ones will be posted this spring)

I’m hoping to add some more exciting things this year but I’ve been learning that all things take longer now with a family.
