This trick was life changing for me… you can also try “stitching in the ditch”. Which means stitching in the seam, I haven’t tried this method but I’ve heard it works as well.

This is one way to use porcupine quills. Quill work was the original for of decorative art that Métis people used prior to beadwork. Today quillwork is often mixed with beadwork, there’s so much versatility in Métis art.
