An intake freeze is now in effect at Regina Cat Rescue (RCR). This means we’re unable to take in new cats until further notice.

RCR has rescued over 440 cats so far in 2019. This exceeds our projection of 400 rescues and has strained our finances. This was a difficult decision – especially with winter approaching. But to ensure the short- and long-term sustainability of the organization it’s a necessary one.

The two exceptions to this freeze are for pregnant cats and cats adopted from RCR. In these cases, please email [email protected].

Other RCR functions continue as normal. We’ll continue to care for all cats in our foster home program and our TNRM program. Fundraising activities and processing of adoptions will also continue.
