💕Extra Special Consult Alert💕
Three years ago my youngest son and I were volunteering with Bright Eyes Dog Rescue, when we got to know a sweet foster dog named Winnie. If Winnie could talk we're pretty sure she would have told us many stories of her hard life up to that point 😔
Despite all that history and the obvious scars all over her body, she was willing to trust humans again. So many people at the rescue cared for her, got her healthy and were determined to find her the perfect home. As a result, she was adopted by the most loving family, who re-named her Scooby (due to her big Scooby-Doo ears) and who take her to their workplace every day.
Fast forward 3 years...
I get a consult request from Yvonne at Slinkemo Enterprises who needs blinds in a new office building at their business. She sends me some pics of the windows and in a couple of the pics, there is a dog.
Of course, I ask, "Do I get to meet the pup too?!"
Yvonne responds, "Yes, you can meet our Scooby!"
It immediately hit me. Scooby? She's at work with you?
Me: "Oh my goodness! Was Scooby adopted from Bright Eyes and her name was Winnie?"
Yvonne: "Yes! And yes!"
I tell Yvonne how I know Scooby and how excited I am to see her again, and Yvonne is so excited too.
After taking care of business in the new building, Yvonne takes me to her office to see Scooby. As I got down on the floor with her, she was giving me little kisses and was wagging her tail. It was so amazing to see her again!
Yvonne: "I think she remembers you!"
Me: "Do you think so?"
Yvonne: "Well, she doesn't greet everyone like that! Look at her tail!"
Yvonne so kindly offered to take my pic with Scooby and even gave me a big hug before I left.
What started as a consultation for new blinds ended in a most heartwarming reunion. It was a great day 😊
