BARN TO DISMANTLE
(Closer to Regina the better)
I’m in need of a barn to dismantle. I have sold & used most of my material and with orders to fill and items to build I’m finding myself really needing a barn as two I was hoping would fill my summer fell through. Rustic Console Table
(entrance table, hallway table)

This rustic console table with tons of character is hand built from gorgeous 110 year old, 2x12 (actually 1 1/2” x 11”) Old Growth Red Douglas Fir. The material has been sanded down and wire wheeled finished with a Old Masters Natural Gel Stain (oil based)to keep it looking as natural as possible with a nice strong protective coat giving it a beautiful sheen that will prevent scratches.

Measurements are
52 1/2” long x 37” tall x 11” wide
Bottom shelf is 12” from ground level leaving a gap of 23 1/2”between shelf and table top

This Bench first started out as a 10”x10” timber. It was then slabbed up using a chainsaw and guide to the thickness of 3”. -
-Then ran through the planer and sanded down.

-The front of the the bench and legs were wire wheeled to get all the rot out from the wood giving it that super nice rustic depth it has.

-Then followed go with a floppy disc sanding to smooth everything out as best as possible.

-The underside, backside and side of the legs were burnt to a crisp using a tiger torch.. a linseed oil was then applied to the entire bench followed up by a water based polyurethane.

The bench itself is 48” long and just under 10” wide. The bench is notched out so the legs are joined into the bench making it for a stronger longer lasting stability.

Little throwback Thursday to the master bedroom Reno.

Bedroom Reno done with reclaims 1x10 Douglas fir barnwood on the feature wall. A mix of reclaimed 2x6, 2x8, 1x10 for the head board and side board. With milled down Timbers for the top plates on both ledges. A 2x6 framed wrap around step up with 1x8 shiplap for the floor boards. 1x10 planks ripped down to 3” for ceiling trim. Tons of prep hours into this project to have the finished product.

Get me back on a big beautiful barn again please!

This is the second story the hay loft of a giant beaut of a barn. Dismantled this near the town of Yellow Grass . I had previously been up on the roof making precise incisions so that I could drop the full second story wall flat on the ground making it easier to work. Sometimes it’s piece by piece a barn comes down or like this we go big a save a large amount of time on this dismantle. Plus it’s always fun an excited to drop a massive part of a building all at once.

Quite possibly the next project for Radwood. This big & beautiful barn situated near Regina Saskatchewan has some pretty incredible history to it. One of which the movie Sleepwalking starring Charlize Theron and Dennis Hopper was filmed here on this property along with the beautiful Eaton Home that is within a stones throw from the barn. Sitting on top of the valley this place sure has some stunning views over looking the river and valley.
Excited for this one is an understatement, fingers crossed everything works out.

Nothing beats watching the sun rise while you work your tail feathers off trying to preserve as much lumber as possible from these beautiful old barns the old boys built.
