🌹 The best red climbing rose I've ever grown? The Florentina rose, hands down! I harvested these beauties in July after they'd been blooming for two weeks, and they still looked stunning when I pruned them. What makes the Florentina stand out? Its impressively long vase life for starters! Plus, it's one of the few red roses that doesn't shift to a purplish-red hue in sunlight. Truly a gardener's delight!

I would like to showcase a garden favourite this week, the "Summer Romance" from Kordes Parfuma Collection. Though this beauty just finished her second bloom and I missed capturing it (gave them away as a bouquet gift to a friend 🌸), the spring bloom remains unparalleled.

Reasons why every gardener should consider this rose:

1. Exceptional Health: It's been years since I used fungicides, and even with this year's black spot invasion due to excessive rain, most of my Kordes collection remains unaffected. Last summer, I confidently said fungal diseases weren't an issue – Mother Nature humbled me this year. 😅

2. Abundant Blooms in Spring: Easily produces hundreds of buds every spring and even in fall. However, the real challenge lies in making them bloom simultaneously. I've tried various techniques, from special fertilizers to bud-trimming, but maintaining consistency across a large collection isn't easy.

3. Enchanting fragrance: Just a few of these in a vase, and my porch's aroma had friends asking about my special air freshener.

4. Impressive Vase Life: How many of you grow roses specifically to bring their beauty indoors? I'm certainly one of them. While some roses, despite their romantic appearance, fade quickly and end up in the bin after just 1-2 days, Summer Romance remains vibrant for up to a week. And for those with a touch of expertise in cut rose care, its charm might even last longer!

Hello everyone!

This year's rose sales have come to an end and incredibly, we've sold more roses than the past three years combined! A massive thanks to all of you. I have just 3 peonies left, which I'll be sending out as a special token to the gardeners who have consistently supported me across various platforms this year. Thank you!

Regarding our giveaway events, I've decided to put them on hold for now as I dedicate more time to improving our social media content. My hope is to create more compelling and interactive content moving forward. Thank you all once again for your continuous support!

This is one of the rose bouquet I harvested in June, called Dylan Rose. I've been placing orders for it since 2020, although some years I was't lucky enough to get it, haha. Dylan Rose is a hidden gem in the North American rose arena. It is very floriferous, along with rapid growth. Its wavy petals are considerably rare to find in the North American market. The rose's soft pink hue complements its registration name, JALpurity, to perfection. I highly recommend other varieties from the same breeder due to their flowering frequency and volume of blooms. A word of caution for the gardeners residing north of GTA - although this rose is Canadian-grown, it NEEDS protection from the harsh winter frost.
