We’re heading off on a big adventure this April.
Our journey begins in the Cotswolds, tucked into a little stone cottage called The Haybarn at Ampneyfield Farm — a place of rolling green hills, winding lanes, ancient hedgerows, and storybook villages where time seems to slow and the days feel softer.
From there, we fly to Florence and pick up a car, heading into the heart of Tuscany — the Val d’Orcia. This landscape feels almost unreal: sweeping hills, cypress-lined roads, olive groves, and golden light as far as the eye can see. We’ll spend a week at Agriturismo Il Rigo, an organic, family-run farm where life is rooted in the land, the food is honest, and the views are endless.
Our final stop brings us back to the San Gimignano area — medieval towers rising from vineyards and rolling countryside, a place steeped in history and quiet beauty. We’ll be staying at a small villa at Tenuta Guardastelle, saved for last for a reason. Fifteen years ago, we stayed in this very same villa, and the memories of that time have never left us.
What an adventure this will be.
You never really know if something will be your last trip, so we choose to embrace the fact that we can do this — for ourselves, together, and with gratitude for the life we’re living.
