We’re Hiring: Part-Time Gallery Attendant
We are currently seeking a part-time Gallery Attendant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for customer service, creativity, and supporting local artisans.
Position Details:
• 12–19 hours per week (with potential for additional hours)
• Fixed weekly shifts: Sundays & Tuesdays
• Occasional Saturday shift
What You’ll Do:
• Open and close the gallery
• Create a warm, welcoming experience for every customer
• Assist with sales, payment processing, and careful gift wrapping
• Learn and confidently speak about our artists, products, and processes
• Pack online orders (training provided)
• Handle artwork and fine craft with care
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional gallery space
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous retail or customer service experience (required)
• Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• A genuine interest in local art and fine craft
• Willingness to go above and beyond for customers
Assets:
• Background in visual arts or design
• Content creation & social media experience
This role is best suited to someone who takes pride in their work and is excited to represent a curated collection of artists from across the Maritimes.
