A new Airstream just landed at the shop for a client from Ohio.

This rare model was previously customized for the U.S. Department of Defense, with a rear garage similar to that of a PanAmerica making it an even more unique piece than an already rare Airstream motorhome.

It’s now set for a complete transformation. New Duramax, new Allison transmission, complete mechanical overhaul, and a fully reimagined design.

From historic shell to timeless piece on wheels.

We’re hitting the road with something truly special! Wander Airstream is beginning a brand-new adventure: the search, transport from Arkansas back to Canada, full design, and complete restoration of a 1979 Airstream motorhome.

Both our clients in Chicago and our team is beyond excited to breathe new life into this classic icon and transform it into a timeless piece of design on wheels.

Stay tuned as we share the journey — from its raw, vintage state to a stunning modern restoration. This is going to be one for the books!

This Airstream is more than a finished project — it’s a space to slow down, to dream and to reconnect with the freedom of the open road.
