Laminate vs Vinyl – Scratch Test 🔧
Many customers ask us: Which flooring is better for scratches — laminate or vinyl?
Instead of just explaining, we decided to test both materials in real life.
The reason is that laminate flooring usually has a very strong wear layer made with aluminum oxide, which is designed to protect the surface from daily damage like pet nails, moving furniture, toys, and heavy foot traffic.
This is why laminate is often a great option for homes with pets, kids, or high-traffic areas where scratch resistance is important.
Of course, both laminate and vinyl have their own advantages depending on the space and lifestyle. But when it comes to pure scratch resistance, laminate often has the upper hand.
