En // The end of the year is approaching, and a lot has happened! This was not an easy decision — it has been on my mind for several months. Showing acceptance and seeing this as a learning moment in a chapter of life, rather than as a failure, is not always an easy thing to do.
It is with sadness, and a touch of lightness, that I announce today the closing of Tricote Moé Ça.
Tricote Moé Ça has now been open for 5 years (yes, time flies!). It has been an incredible adventure! What will stay with me the most is the opportunity to have met incredible people. Listening to your stories, talking about everything and nothing, simply sharing a passion with another passionate soul. Some of you have even become friends.
Time is a rare commodity, and once caught in an endless whirlwind of projects and obligations, we can easily lose sight of what we truly want in life. That is what happened. Wanting to do everything — wanting to do too much — makes us miss out on incredible moments, because of a lack of energy, because of fatigue. Having already a full-time job that I love, my hobbies such as weaving, spinning, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying nature have taken a hit. This situation no longer makes me happy, and in times like these, we have to know how to make choices.
I can’t wait to find the energy again to spend the whole day at the loom or at the spinning wheel!
I plan to continue the Olds College Master Spinner course for my own personal enjoyment, and because learning brings happiness.
I remain available if you have any questions! I will be happy to talk with you. My social media pages will be dedicated to the spinning and weaving projects I complete, much like a personal logbook devoted to textile arts.
So I say a big thank you to all of you for the years during which you encouraged me, trusted me, and shared your passion. You will always have a special place in my heart.
