So I am a bit behind and Christmas baking. I usually start the last week of November going through all my recipes and deciding what will make the cut. These are on the agenda for the weekend. Festive Cherry Bars. In 2006 Chatelaine had a baking competition and this was one of the best 10 and I would definitely agree! Anyone else horde magazines

Christmas Banana Bread - got out of a Chatelaine Magazine about 10 years ago. So yummy! Let me know if you try it!

1 cup Bananas
2 Eggs
1/4 tsp Baking powder
1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
1 3/4 cup flour
1 pinch Salt
3/4 cup Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1 cup White chocolate chips (mix 3/4 into the batter and sprinkle the rest on top)

Topping
1/2 cup Flaked Coconut
1/4 Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp Butter
1 Tbsp Flour

Bake at 325 degrees for 60 - 70 minutes
