I am overwhelmed with the response I received to my idea of a Women over 50 photography group. Please note the age is not a "restriction" it is only because I know that younger people have busy lives (not that us older ladies don't) which include commitments with children. Scheduling can be a nightmare!
I am super excited in the interest, and thought I might provide a little more information on my page.
This is a group for those who want to learn how to capture what they see. Sometimes, it is impossible to capture the beauty that is right in front of us, so we stop and enjoy for a moment or two.
I LOVE taking photos, and especially love the joy it brings to others. I was a photographer for over 16 years. I started by just taking photos for myself not realizing the journey that I starting. Since then I have learned a TON, which I want to share with you!
We will be learning to view the world differently. Not only through our own eyes, but through the eyes of others as well. In order to grow, we must see what we lack. This journey is one that can mean so much to you and your family in the future. Memories captured and passed down.
Each group will be for 6 weeks. If you wish to continue on, I can provide more advanced groups as well. We will see what the future brings. We will have at least two "field trips" where we can practice and learn how to make our cameras capture what we see.
Now my next job is to come up with a name for our group. Something sassy and sophisticated with a nice ring to it.
