Hi friends! I’m Ellen 👩‍🍳the artist and crafter behind Jancat Art. Since so many new faces have joined us recently, I wanted to take a moment to say hello!

I was originally born in China and moved to Japan for university, where I lived for seven years. Using everything I learned during those experiences, we created Jancat Art. I create the menu, the cooking, and the artwork, while my husband, Kirill, manages everything else, such as admin, accounting (which I’m not good at:) and daily repairs, Jancat Art wouldn’t exist without him.

To be honest, we didn’t realize quite how much goes into opening a cafe, but we are learning as we go! And we’re quite enjoying it. We are so grateful to our wonderful community for the support, and our team is even starting to expand. We hope Jancat Art brings you joy! ♡
