Bob has been collecting antiques and doing flea markets for many years. He couldn't pass up buying this vacant church in the small town of Sintaluta, Saskatchewan. Bob can often be seen around Saskatchewan visiting all the local Flea Markets, making friends and collecting great products. He dreams of sharing these pride possessions with the younger people and showing them that antiques are totally

The patina on these antique tin toys is just amazing. The 4 door car is made in Germany. Tin toys were made from thin sheets of steel plated with tin, hence the name tinplate. Tin toys were a durable substitute for wooden toys. The toys were originally assembled and painted by hand. The invention of sheet metal stamping machines in 1815 allowed for the mass production of toys. Spring activated tin toys originated in Germany in the 1850s. Interestingly because of strong pro-American products after World War I, the German tin toy market fell away by 1920. These toys would have cost a penny back then. 4 door car $75, 2 door $85.
