The revitalized Rawlinson Centre for Indigenous Business Students at the Edwards School of Business / University of Saskatchewan is home to the Indigenous Business Students’ Society (IBSS) office and serves as a welcoming hub for learning, connection, and support.
The Centre features flexible, multi-use study zones with modular furniture that allows the main space to transform easily from collaborative group work areas into quiet study pods. The lounge offers expanded, adaptable seating designed to accommodate community gatherings, bi-weekly social circles and "bannock chats" . Soundproof private meeting rooms provide spaces for confidential conversations, including academic counselling, Elder mentorship, and student support. Throughout the Centre, dedicated gallery walls showcase artwork by local First Nations and Métis artists, celebrating Indigenous culture and creativity. A custom HVAC system was integrated to safely accommodate sacred smudge ceremonies within the Centre, supporting culturally meaningful practices.
The Rawlinson Centre for Indigenous Business Students is one of the only dedicated spaces for Indigenous business students in Canada
