Rare edible plants of South America , these are self pollinating/self fertile which means they will grow fruit even indoors. These will produce fruit in less then 6 months from seed. Amazing plants for food sovereignty.

New plant coming along... The Tuberous Sweetpea is native to Eurasia but is also found across much of northern North America. Cultivated since the 1600’s many consider it an “antique vegetable” once popular but now passe.The tubers of the Lathyrus tuberosus were a common food in Europe often sold in produce markets particularly in France under the name “macusson.” Botanically Lathyrus is from the Greek Lathyros which is an old name for pea. Its a new year and with a new year come new growth. I am hoping to create a large collection of rare spice plants to share and grow and sell in the future and bring back my spices. In the mean time I hope you can also grow more this year.

Here in Norway food is very expensive and food options seem very limited. I decide to try sprouting some dried pea seeds for pea shoots to use in my food. I am tempted to buy some grow lights but I have not decide if I will do that yet. This is what taking control of your own food looks like.
