Third hand surgery and hopefully my final hand surgery is complete.

Please, please, if you know something isn’t right, advocate for yourself. You know your body.

I was told time and time again that there was nothing wrong, or that what I was experiencing was caused by something else. Each time, I pushed back. I kept asking questions, kept advocating for myself, and kept pushing for proper diagnosing and imaging.

And today, I finally got the answer I had been fighting for.

I was right. Something wasn’t right with my hand.

After everything I’ve been through, having my concerns finally validated is a feeling I can’t quite put into words.

Here’s to healing, patience, and hopefully the final chapter of this hand journey.

If you have a gut feeling that something isn’t right with your body, listen to it. Ask questions. Keep advocating. You know yourself better than anyone.
