The tears aren't always from a bad place, sometimes they come from a place of comfort. Sometimes they come with a smile, like this morning when I opened this incredibly kind gesture of a gift from .ca that was delivered to my doorstep. There is kindness and good in our world, even when the light in your own life seems dim and world has kept moving, leaving you behind. Its things like this that bring you back and remind you its ok to move forward, and not feel like its wrong.

Kylie will never be forgotten, nor will we stop fighting for answers to the many questions we have. For today though, its one day at a time.

If you do anything today, anything at all, just be kind and when you have the opportunity, let it be for Kylie. She accepted everyone and we could all learn a thing or two from her 12 short but impactefull years ♡

Happy Wednesday friends 💚

Its unfortunately true; our grieving family has had to postpone my nieces memorial service due to threats against our safety. The person is known to us, and the RCMP are involved. Kylie doesnt deserve this, and we WILL celebrate her beautiful life they way she deserves, when its safe. Love you Kylie May ❤️

I don't normally share my personal life on my business platform, but this week our family was struck with an immeasurable loss.

My beautiful sweet 12 year old niece Kylie May Smith was shot and k*lled in the Tumbler Ridge school shooting. My heart is shattered and my family is absolutely broken at the loss of her. I held her in my arms when she was only weeks old, and now I will never hug her ever again. The pain of waking up every morning knowing this isn't a bad dream is gut wrenching.

Everywhere I look I see photos and write ups about the shooter, the person who did this. It's like a knife to the gut over and over again. Im posting this so that we will see HER face now, not the person who took her. SHE deserves to be seen and remembered and honored. She was smart, talented, kind, caring, and we just want her back.

I have never felt so much pain in my life like I do right now.

Our family has started a gofundme to help offset some of the immediate cost of travel, bill, expenses. Her mother who is my sister and I will be flying to TR to be with our family and Kylie's brother Ethan who is missing his sister right now. If you can support or donate, please do so. If you can share, that is so appreciated. I will post in my stories as well.

Right now, my ask is that you send love and support to the people of and their families, because as a community they need it.

♡♡♡ Thank You ♡♡♡

A massive thank you to everyone who came out to support my little knit business this month. It was so great to meet new people, see some familiar faces, and connect with other small biz owners from Victoria to Nanaimo.

I started market season with roughly 240 toques, and packing up today I only have 12 left. 12!! Its an incredible feeling to have my handmade items be so well received by everyone. However, what warms my heart the most is how many people stop by to tell me they purchased from me in years prior and their beanie is their most loved accessory. There is no better feeling.

I will be listing the last of my stock on my website this week, along with anything new I make. Cut off for shipping or local pick up will be December 15th.
