Mystery wood. Magic in the shop.
This weekend was a wine tasting counter top insert with cnc'ed grooves for stabilization. After much slab flattening and sanding, voila! a snazzy rectangle. Lol.

Twelve ice rink crib boards, and two hockey stick crib boards. And 3d printed lids for the peg storage.

It's going to take me weeks to clean the dust out of all the nooks and crannies in my little shop... At least it has the clean, fresh fragrance of old Douglas Fir. Lol.

A multi-media project for today.

It turned into an iterative prototype process (which really shouldn't have been this difficult, lol). Ten or eleven prototypes later, I have this.
And it works!

What is it? Well. Glad you asked...

It is a zero clearance insert for my Metabo table saws. Unlike most homemade inserts, this one locks down into the factory guides (so it won't fly out or shift).

Some 3d-printed parts, a few threaded inserts, four grub screws and a half sheet of mdf later...
