// I N P R O C E S S
Hi, itโs me ๐
A little life update. Last weekend I broke my femur in a ski accident and underwent emergency surgery. Itโs been a shock to the old system in more ways than one.
Not being able to move freely in my studio or work on my large canvases nearly undid me. Painting at that scale is such a physical, full-body process, and suddenly that felt out of reach.
I kept thinking about the stacks of canvas fragments that have built up over the years, layers and sections from past works, full of stories.
So instead of fighting what I canโt do right now, Iโm choosing to work with what I can.
Over the next few weeks, Iโll be reworking these collected fragments into a small, intentional collection, giving them new focus at a different pace. A shift in scale, but not in depth.
Thereโs something meaningful about making the work accessible for me to create in this seasonโฆ and also more accessible for those whoโve wanted to collect a piece but were waiting for the right entry point. If you are interested in hearing more I will be sharing first to my newsletter. So please sign up if youโd like to be notified.
Thank you to my husband, family and to my incredible friends who have held me up through this. Breaking bones is not fun, it can take you to a low place but having this kind of support goes a long way.
This feels like a reset.
A different and positive pivot for now. More to comeโฆ
