I was going to post something woodworking related and ignore the fact I ghosted for 4 months but I’m gonna go way out of my comfort zone instead so bear with me. I know I’m not the only one going through something. Toward the end of last year I became extremely unwell and unfortunately had to cancel/delay pretty much all of my orders. I have struggled with my mental health for a long time and like a lot of people, the mental healthcare system has not been good to me. It took a lot but I can finally say I’m on the right track. I’m very slowly getting back on my feet but I had to make a lot of changes in my life and unfortunately I did not anticipate it getting worse before it got better.

Woodworking quickly became my outlet over the last few years. It was supposed to be a hobby until all of a sudden it wasn’t. I already wasn’t doing well but I kept focusing on woodworking thinking it would help to the point it became a full time job. I don’t need two of those. I was taking on way too much, making mistakes and losing whatever small amount of confidence I had started to gain. It wasn’t an escape anymore.

With all that said, I won’t be taking on anymore custom orders for now. I just need time to focus on myself. I’m finishing up all orders I put on hold and I want to say thank you to everyone for being so patient and understanding over the last few months. I also really want to thank those of you who reached out. I’m so lucky to have the support system that I do.

Here’s a photo dump of my children from the last few months. One of the main reasons I can get through every day. 🐶🐈

Happy 11th birthday to my best friend in dog form! One year ago yesterday Scooter tore the CCL in his knee, then a few months later he tore the CCL in his other knee. Little old man has had one hard year but he’s doing much better. ❤️

Newlander Meat Shop is a brand new, locally owned butcher shop in CBS that sells a wide variety of ready-to-grill/cook meats, smoked and cured meats, etc. Follow their Facebook and Instagram pages to check out their soft opening hours and to see what they’ve got on the menu!

Conception Bay South is actually my hometown so this is definitely a project I will remember. Thank you so much Andrea for reaching out to me for this awesome opportunity!
