Some great pieces of furniture deserve new life. They speak to us about times past, but cry out for renewal. That is what The Brocanteuse is all about. I look for pieces with the potential to be something special. Using a variety of modern techniques along with some old fashioned ways to create a new look. Each piece speaks to me about what it "could be" and no two pieces are the same. If you are

The rain is definitely welcome, but the wind can stop any time. We are up to 5 leaks in the shop roof from shingles blowing off, buckets are laying all over catching water and my stress level is through the roof as I worry about damage to anything inside the building. So far we are good, but it was a little unnerving when I was out there painting a pice earlier only to have a new leak appear right beside where I was working. Here's hoping the rain and wind slow down overnight!

I have a deep love for anything historical out of churches, so when I found this large candlestick, I had to have it. Right now, I'm trying to decide exactly where I would put it in our home, until then, it resides in mercantile for sale, so if you figure out a place before I do, you just might be able to make it yours!
