Spain, here I come ✈️

Honestly, still kind of can’t believe I get to say that.

I was invited by Cosentino — one of the incredible surface suppliers we work with regularly for countertops and architectural materials — to tour their facilities and quarries in Spain alongside a small group of designers from across Atlantic Canada & Quebec, including my good friends Jim and Jamie from (as two owner-operated businesses from northeast Nova Scotia, it feels especially exciting to be part of something like this together 💪).

Each year, they invite a select group of designers to experience where these materials are created, and this year I was lucky enough to be included ✨

The official tour is only a few days, but I decided to extend the trip a little to soak it all in (and hopefully come home very inspired).

I’m excited to share behind-the-scenes moments, beautiful spaces, architecture, food, and everything in between while I’m away.

To close out our ‘Meet the Team’ series — and in honour of Mother’s Day, meet Doris 💛

Some may know her as Allison’s mom, but to us, she’s an integral part of the AGI team.

Our master organizer and on-site extraordinaire — Doris is the one who keeps projects moving, anticipating what’s needed before it’s even asked and stepping in wherever she can support.

What we do isn’t always as glamorous as it may seem, and Doris is the one who helps bring it all to life — jumping in feet first, collaborating alongside us, and taking on whatever the day calls for.

From installations and sourcing to tracking inventory and problem solving on the spot, she truly does it all — always with the client’s needs and lifestyle in mind, which is at the core of how we approach design at AGI.

Doris is also a true ray of positivity, the kind of presence that makes long days feel lighter and busy spaces feel calm.

No spotlight needed, no fuss — but one very much deserved — just someone who shows up, gets it done, and makes a lasting impact behind the scenes.

We’re so grateful to have her on the team 🤍

Late nights, questionable amount of caffeine, and a lot of laughs - that’s what’s carrying us through this very full April ☕️😜

The AGI team has been deep in it: new client consults, endless sourcing, site visits, installs, and watching some pretty special spaces come to life.

It’s busy in the best way, and we wouldn’t want to be doing it with anyone else 🤍 Team work really does make the dream work. (Not pictured here: Allie, professional photo avoider 😂 - who has very much been a part of all the action!)

Our ‘Meet the Team’ campaign continues! Say hello to Mallory, our newest member on the AGI team 🤍

Mallory brings a breadth of entrepreneurial experience to the studio after running her own real estate business for over a decade. During that time, she built and grew a successful franchise known for its strong client relationships and exceptional customer service.

At AGI, Mallory leads our client experience and communications, often serving as the first point of contact for new inquiries. She works closely with Allison on client communications and brand storytelling, helping shape the experience from the very first interaction. Mallory also helps bring our work to life online through social media.

We’re so happy to have her on the team.
