It’s been a minute! Some recent projects we’ve been loving…
1) A custom toy box with an engraved message in mom’s writing for a sweet girl who just arrived 💕

2) Wedding song lyrics make a perfect sign addition 🎶 (especially when it’s Tyler Childers, I mean come on)

3) Dog ear outlines- say no more 😍

4) When a good pal orders a bear wood mosaic because his daughter has always called them Papa Bear, it’s important to surprise him by including an engraving of his daughter’s writing saying exactly that 🥹

A little appreciation post 🔥

If you’ve ever stopped by during the market, you may have noticed the forge…and Shawn eyeing it up, waiting for the chance to really use it. We owe a huge thank you to Lanny at Forged in Canada in Pembroke for hosting Shawn during his Queen’s Technological Education practicum. He started this week; he’s learning a ton and loving every minute of it.

We highly recommend that you check out this veteran-owned blacksmith shop in Pembroke. If you’ve ever been curious about this timeless trade, it’s worth checking out all the offer- from custom work, introductory workshops, forging knives and axes, to forge rentals…definitely worth looking into! 🔨🔥

After many (mannnnny) hours sanding, painting, and learning…couldn’t be happier with how this one turned out! Taylor was so patient and let me embrace creativity with this piece for her sweet girl’s room 🫶🏼 (video in comments)

I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time idolizing the work of Pearl and Pine and am so grateful for the tutorials she’s shared on her various platforms- wouldn’t have taken this leap without being inspired by her work. Highly recommend checking her account out 🙌🏼

We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who supported our passion for creating once again this season. It’s hard to believe we have reached year five of Hollett’s Haven, and we’re incredibly excited to keep growing, learning, and creating. Any orders that didn’t need to be finished for Christmas will be wrapped up as soon as possible- thank you so much for your patience while we took a short holiday rest. We’re looking forward to getting back out in the shop, refreshed and inspired. Your support makes it possible for us to keep exploring new ideas and skills, and we are truly grateful for each and every one of you.

Our final market means we are packing up our stock to store it…and who likes packing, really? If any of these catch your eye and you’d like to purchase, send us a message! For the ornaments, we have several of each so multiple can be ordered, the signs are the only ones- first come, first served. Prices as marked, pick up at our place in Ivanhoe. Another incredible day- one of the best parts of the A Country Christmas Gathering weekends is seeing people we have gotten to know over the years of participating. We are so grateful! Join us tomorrow for our last day- we still have plenty of stock of our homemade items, By Chef Michal will be joining us (if you haven’t had the delicious comfort food he’s offering- don’t miss out!), Grandma Lynda still has delicious treats for you (and your pups), and Old Jar Candle Co. let us keep her incredible scents here!
