💙 November is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month 💙

This November, we want to quietly but emphatically shine a light on something that changed our lives.

In January 2024, my husband Jim was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. He is the youngest of six boys—with no family history. We never saw it coming.

We’re not sharing this to bring attention to ourselves, but to bring attention to the reality:
Prostate cancer can affect anyone!!
It doesn’t always come with warning signs or a family trail. That’s why awareness, early detection, and regular checkups matter so much.

Guided by faith, sustained by hope, supported by a great medical team here on PEI, and strengthened by a newfound commitment to Physical Fitness and Nutrition (Tionna , Kaitlyn . Jim is doing very well. We are deeply grateful.

If you’re reading this, please take a moment to learn about the risks, the symptoms, and the importance of screening. Encourage the men in your life to talk to their doctors. It could make all the difference.

Let’s make this month about action, compassion, and hope.

I had a tough time focusing at the pottery wheel this afternoon, distracted by the beautiful fall colours on my neighbour's trees and lawn. Here's hoping the wind doesn't blow those leaves this way!

I attended pottery classes at the beginning of my pottery journey given by notable local potters teaching at the PEI Pottery Studio.
Each one I’ve had some great takeaways and I’m Thankful for that. 😊 ❤️💙

This morning I attached handles to various mugs.
And as mundane as this may seem, I think back to one of my classes where the advice given was that every mug deserves a handle suitable for its shape.

I’ll post some pics in a few weeks of the mugs I worked on this AM and you be the judge. 😉

August is soon coming to an end!

Certainly is a busy time with families getting ready for the new school year…Farmers harvesting their crops and the Fishermen out in the waters for that catch of lobster.
