Have you ever watched a child slow down and truly focus?

✨ Hand sewing does that ✨

In a world full of screens and instant everything, giving kids a needle and thread is a quiet act of resistance. It teaches them that beautiful things take time — and that they are capable of making them!

A few things hand sewing builds in little ones:
🧵 Fine motor skills — those tiny stitches are serious brain + hand work!
🧵 Patience and focus — no shortcuts here, and that’s the whole point
🧵 Problem-solving — a knot, a mistake, a seam that doesn’t quite line up… and then figuring it out
🧵 Pride in making — there’s nothing like the look on a child’s face when they finish something they made with their own hands (as you can see on Oliver’s face at the end of the video 🥹)

If you’ve been thinking about introducing your child to sewing, start simple: A big needle, chunky thread, and a piece of felt can go a long way.

Hey there, I have a gentle update to share. 💛

As we wrap up 2025, I’m pressing pause on new orders for the rest of the year...

This year asked me to slow down, listen to my body, and honour my energy.

I’m, therefore, choosing to finish the last orders - without the rush of the season - so I can return with more intention, creativity, and joy.

But fear not:

✨ The heart of this atelier is still beating.
✨ And there are beautiful new things coming in 2026 ✨

Life lately because this Summer has been WILD 🤪

Lots of fun, packing, unpacking and working hard here 💪🏽 that lead to a very annoying carpal tunnel inflammation on both hands 😭

But hey, at least my compression gloves are pink 💅🏼 😂

So here I am being reminded to slow down and respect my body 🫣 for 6 weeks at least 😛

🎉We did IT! 🎉

And my oh my, was I proud of those kiddos 😍

From all I could have imagined in this overthinking head of mine, I’m still in awe of how great this was! For me, and from what I heard, for them 🥹

I missed the fun and honest conversations we can only have with children. All the unbiased wisdom and their beautiful brains catching up on what I had to share.

I loved it and I was asked for more 😍
