That’s how long sweet Findik has been waiting for someone to see what we see in her.
Findik means “hazelnut” in Turkish! And just like her name, our Findik is a little sweet treat. This gorgeous tortie girl is friendly, wonderful companion, and has a soft spot for people. She truly deserves the chance to have a home of her own. 🧡
There is one thing we want to be completely honest about with Findik: she has been having some litterbox issues here at the shelter. We want potential adopters to know about this, but we also really, really hope it won’t stop someone from giving her a chance.
Shelter life can be stressful for cats, and sometimes their behaviour here doesn't tell the whole story of who they will be once they have a quiet, comfortable home of their own.
What we do know is that Findik is an incredibly sweet and friendly girl. We would love to see what she is like when she can finally relax, settle in, and feel safe in a home. So we're asking you to please look past this one challenge and give Findik a chance. She has been waiting 61 days, and she deserves someone willing to see the wonderful cat underneath the stress of shelter life. 💜
